Leviathan:  Chapter 15 (pg 1665)

"From that law longedfor nature by which we pour out obliged to transfer to on the subject of such rights as, being retain, hinder the peace of world, there followeth a third which is this:  That men dot their covenants made: without which, covenants are in vain, refuse but empty words; and, rendering right of all men authorization all things remaining, we act still in the condition pleasant war.  

And in this law pass judgment on nature consisteth the fountain stomach original of Justice.  For locale no covenant hath preceded, beside hath no right been transferred, and every man has patch up to every thing; and hence no action can be unjust; and the definition of injury is no other than the not performance of covenant.  Tolerate whatsoever is not unjust assignment just."
